Exploitation is found in countries where sex tourism can be practiced unconcerned; not only the countries of Asia but also some cities in Europe, West and East, through beauty institutes, massage centers, Sauna, and others. In countries of extreme poverty, it adds to the tragedy and causes some parents to sell their children or abandon them to be exploited sexually, in the hope that they will support the household economically.

For Lydia Cacho, and in her book “Slavery Inc.: The Untold Story of International Sex Trafficking” (2014) , indicates that poverty does not explain everything. Two factors of importance support this family tragedy: The first is manifested in the rise of wild capitalism, which means that human life does not matter or in relation to the benefits that can be derived from it. The second factor is the fact that we live in a patriarchal world where male domination reigns and making women a mere object.

We are witnessing the development of a culture that promises human reification as if it were an act or a choice. Cacho demonstrates in his book this culture as if it were an act of progress and a source of self-assertion for those who were repeatedly raped by men who believe that everything is permissible because they pay. The buyers come from all social classes. The journalist does not spare religion in the reinforcement of all sexist stereotypes encouraging the sexual subordination of women.
