Method in Sociology___Souhail Arfaoui

There are many methods used in human sciences such as qualitative measurement. Qualitative research is characterized by its subject, and related to understanding aspects of social life, and its methods which generate analysis, rather than numbers, as data for analysis.

As a sociologist I studied some phenomenon such as socialization and youth’s identities. I used this method also in a study made by an Association the subject was about Arab Revolution. I think that the use of the interviews skills make the social studies more transparent and credible. Transcription and analysis give more information about the social situation especially in Tunisian society that was the subject of a social and political changement. I think this seminar will be an occasion to know more about this method and to improve our skills.
