Policy In all the communities of Indigenous People of Biafra which comprise South and South East regions of Nigeria, gully erosion has devastated all parts of every communities and our people have applied all the traditional methods but all no avail. The problem is as a result of climate change all over the world. The areas seemed to be highly neglected because government has not made enough efforts to curtail menace. Many houses have been carried away by high magnitude flood. The oil spillage and pollution of our fishing waterways have also serious adverse affects on our people’s occupation. Moreover, the marginalization of the indigenous people of Biafra by the past administration within the Nigeria nation had been on for a long time and all the efforts to seek redress or liberalize out of it proved abortive hence the Biafra-Nigeria civil war in 1967-1970. However, the present administration led by President Mohammad Buhari is making serious efforts to redress the injustice. The proposed event aims to discuss the new ways of integrating the indigenous people of Biafra into mainstream of Nigeria nation without resorting to violence or war. We will showcase the traditional setting of the indigenous people of Biafra and how the civil war affected the areas, and adaptation of the people to all the challenges and situations, the finance needed for resettlement and the overall policy to develop the indigenous people of Biafra Communities.
